DESCRIPTION:Ready…Set…BAKE! \nJoin us for our 8th Annual Apple Pie Baking Contest! \nSunday\, October 13th!  \nThis year\, we will have 3 prize categories. \n-Grand Prize (Best Overall) \n-Best Non-traditional Apple Dessert \n-16 and Under \nOur prizes this year consist of packages made up of gift cards\, merchandise\, coupons and more from over 20 local businesses!! Grand Prize winner will receive a package valued at over $1\,000!!! \nRules: \n-Amateur bakers only!! \n-All desserts must be made from scratch and baked in a 9inch disposable pie pan. Pans will not be returned after the event. \n-Pies must be submitted in a disposable\, covered box to protect it. \n-Please write your name\, pie name\, and list of ingredients on a recipe card and affix to the box. This is required for your entry to be accepted. \n-NO store bought pies\, crusts\, fillings or mixes may be used. \n-Pie entries will be accepted from 10am-11am\, Oct. 13th. No preregistration is required. \nJudging Criteria: \n-Overall appearance \n-Crust (color\, texture\, doneness\, flavor) \n-Filling (consistency\, doneness\, flavor) \n-Overall taste \n  \nThis is a fun community event for ALL! DESCRIPTION:Come to the orchard over MEA and spend some quality time with the family outside enjoying the fall weather!  We will have all the outside activites open 10 am – 6 pm &  wagon rides Friday – Sunday\, 11-5 .   We will have the bakery loaded up with your favorite treats and hot savory hand pies and cider for lunch.  It’s the perfect way to spend MEA. \n-Friday\, October 18th-music from Brooklyn Ostlund 2pm-4pm. \n-Clueless the balloon twisting clown will be here under the tent from 12pm-4pm Saturday (10/19) and Sunday (10/20)
